Armidale Pine Forest

The Armidale Pine Forest is located 3.5 km northeast of Armidale on the Rockvale Road.  An area of 170 ha that is a very popular destination for walkers, mountain bikers and for picnickers. Horse riders are also welcome. They will need to borrow a key from Council to gain access. 
The pine forest is divided into eastern and western sections by the Tilbuster Ponds creek. Motorised vehicle access is prohibited unless a permit is issued for a specified purpose.  There is good parking and easy access for pedestrians with five gates located around the perimeter.
