Council Departments
Armidale Dumaresq Council’s Organisational Structure has changed to reflect a shared services model.
Planning and Environment Services, under the control of a Director includes environmental planning and building control, environmental and public health, as well as regulation of parking and ranger services such as companion animal control.
The Directorate of Engineering and Works is responsible for Utilities, Transport Operations, Physical Amenities and Engineering Standards and Support. The functions of this area include the management, maintenance and construction of roads, stormwater drainage, parks, water and sewerage supply, solid waste services and also carries out survey, design and supervision of Council’s works projects.
Customer Service, Community Services and Administration each has a Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager.
Human Resources, Records, Finance, Information Technology and Technical Services has moved to a shared service over the three councils within the New England Strategic Alliance. These functions are manages by a Portfolio manager being the General Manager from Armidale Dumaresq, Guyra and Uralla.
