Rates increase every year in line with an amount set by the State Government. This amount is calculated every year and is called the ‘rate cap’. It is decided by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) and is approximately 3% per year.
If you are concerned about bush fire hazards on your property, or the property adjacent to you, the Rural Fire Service (RFS) can provide advice regarding preparing your property against bush fires and what you have to do in the event of a bush fire.
Mayor Laurie Bishop has called on the Armidale Dumaresq community to support victims of the devastating Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines which has killed thousands of people and left huge numbers of the population homeless and running short of food.
Nominations are open for the Armidale Australia Day Awards. To nominate someone for an award, a nomination form must be completed and returned to Council before 5pm on Monday 16th December 2013.
