The Electronic Housing Code (EHC) is an online system for the electronic lodgement of complying development applications under the NSW Housing Code for lots 200m2 and above. This system will also allow the user to determine if they are able to proceed with their development without further approvals, as an exempt development.
The EHC was developed as a result of $5.92 million of Commonwealth funding through the Housing Affordability Fund (HAF), and is a partnership between the Department of Planning & Infrastructure and the Local Government and Shires Associations of NSW.
Armidale Dumaresq Council is one of the 35 local government areas involved in this project. Armidale Dumaresq Council became involved in this initiative seeing the EHC as an important key step towards furthering our aims to make it easier for the public to navigate the planning system and the delivery of online services in addition to those existing, including DA Tracking. As an enthusiastic partner, the EHC demonstrates Council’s commitment to the community in making the planning process easier to use as well as being a leader in the delivery of timely and accurate building and development services.
