With one of the largest rural road networks in the region, we are committed to maintaining the safety of all drivers on all roads across our region. Outlined below is a summary of our Regional and Local Roads Program.

During the rest of 2023, we plan to:

  • Shoulder grade & maintain table drains in identified sections across 13 rural roads (see below)
  • Complete culvert cleaning maintenance on approximately 160 culverts on 46 kms of Kempsey road
  • Complete repairs to Powers Creek causeway

Proposed works

  • 10 336 m2 of heaving patching works on bitumen sealed roads

  • 40 900 m2 of table drain cleaning and shaping
  • Kempsey road drainage maintenance approximating 160 culverts along 56kms
  • Causeway repairs of Powers Creek on Castledoyle Road.
