An enthusiastic group of individuals representing community groups, clubs, and organisations from across the region, benefitted from a community grant writing workshop hosted by Council recently.
Margot Davis led the workshop which was held at Armidale Regional Airport Conference Room on 18 October. Margot is an Economic Development Practitioner, Marketing and Place-making expert who has written many successful grants, tenders and proposals.
The attendees, many of whom volunteer their time and energy, are each committed to their community and this region.
They were keen to learn how best to source and apply for funding that supports their valuable projects and activities. The most common way for not-for-profit groups and organisations to function is through grant funding.
The morning workshop was also a great chance for people to connect and network with each other - as well as representatives from funding bodies.
Council was keen to host this workshop, especially after the positive feedback and great community impact generated by those who attended the 2023 Community Grant Writing Workshop which was proudly funded by NSW Reconstruction Authority Community Recovery Program.
