Armidale Regional Library offers an expanding range of digital and online resources and services, providing easy access to publications, music and other information from around the world. Access services within the library, using our free Wi-Fi or computers. Many of our online services can also be accessed from home or wherever - and whenever - it suits you.

Armidale Regional Library has an app to make it even easier and more convenient to borrow items or access online services.

The Library App is available to download for free from the Google Play App Store and Apple App Store, enabling members to use their phones or smart devices to reserve items and easily access a world of free online entertainment, reference materials and other information.

Computer services and Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available in the Armidale and Guyra libraries. There is no password.

There is a 24-hour time limit and downloads are limited to 2GB.

Charges apply for printing and scanning.

Book ahead to ensure a computer is available. Bookings can be made by phoning (02) 6770 3636 or in person.

Public computers conditions of use 

  • Sessions on the public computers are for up to one hour, but time can be extended provided it is not busy, and this is at the discretion of library staff

  • Armidale Regional Library provided unrestricted access to the internet and cannot be held responsible for its content 

  • It is the responsibility of a parent or guardian to monitor a minor’s use of the internet 

  • Children under the age of nine are not permitted to use the internet without adult supervision 

  • Armidale Regional Library does not take responsibility for any technical problems in accessing sites on the Internet. Nor can security of communications and transactions be guaranteed in an electronic environment. 

  • Staff are available to offer basic assistance in starting your computer session, if you require further assistance, please book into one of our Tech Help Sessions. 

  • Users of the Internet are reminded of their legal obligations, especially in the areas of copyright and transmission of certain types of statements or materials. 

  • Misuse of the computer or Internet access will result in loss of your computer privileges. 

  • Due to space constraints, a maximum of two people at a computer for a session.
