Volunteer
The Armidale Volunteer Referral Service (AVRS) assists people wishing to become actively involved in their local community. Volunteering can provide you with valuable work experience, a chance to contribute to community life, the opportunity to meet new people and allow you to learn new skills.
The AVRS was established in 1998 and is auspiced by Armidale Regional Council. Funding is provided through the Department of Family and Community Services.
Find the right volunteer position for you!
The AVRS can help you find a volunteer position that will suit your skills and interests. If you’re undertaking training in a community field, it’s also possible to help you find a volunteer role that will give you experience in the area you would like to work.
Come along to one of the regular Volunteer Morning Tea gatherings to connect with the AVRS and other volunteers!
