Development applications

Development Proposal

Armidale Regional Council has received Development Application No. 86-2025 for the “Demolition of Existing buildings and structures and construction of a New Service Station, General Store and Post Office”, the location being 5232 New England Highway, Llangothlin (Lot 129 and 134, DP 751474).

Mr Scott Alcorn has lodged the Application, and the Armidale Regional Council will be the Consent Authority.

The Application and supporting documentation may be inspected at Council’s Civic Administration Building, 135 Rusden Street Armidale between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday, public holidays excluded, or via Council’s online self-service portal under ‘Applications on Notification’ until 14 August 2025. Within this time, written submissions may be made and any objection to the proposal must state the grounds of objection.

Please note that under State legislation, any person making a submission on a Development Application must also disclose whether they or any “associate” have made a “reportable political donation” or gift to a local Councillor or Council employee within the period commencing two years before an submission is made and ending when that Application is determined. Development Proposal

Armidale Regional Council has received Development Application No. 88-2025 for Proposed Digital Free Standing Pylon Sign, the location being 13 Ribbon Gum Avenue, Armidale (Lot 104, DP 1278856).

Mr Scott Alcorn has lodged the Application, and the Armidale Regional Council will be the Consent Authority.

Naming of roads

Pursuant to Section 162 of the Roads Act 1993, Council proposes to officially name the following roads:

Location: The Approved Subdivision at 85 Chestnut Avenue. The roads begin at Old Glen Innes Road and runs down near Edgar Street.                          

Proposed Name(s): Brayshaw Boulevard, Croydon Terrace and Edenvale Parkway.            

Written submissions on the proposal will be received until 5pm on Tuesday, 26 August 2025.
