Peking Duk set to turn up the heat at The Big Chill 2025

Armidale Regional Council’s Big Chill Festival has once again secured top line talent for this year’s event with a huge lineup of live music acts all packed into one massive day on Saturday 17 May 2025.
The popular regional musical festival - which draws visitors and music lovers from all over the country - has previously attracted big name acts including The Rubens, Diesel, Birds of Tokyo, Jack River, and Tori Drake.
This year, ARC is excited to announce Peking Duk as the headline act for Big Chill 2025. The popular electronic music band is known for their genre-bending sound, blending house, pop, and alternative music, generating over 750,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
Accompanying Peking Duk is a full line up of world class talent including San Cisco, Vera Blue, Jebediah, Ruby Fields, Electric Postman, The Sooks, Billsbry, Terra Firma, and Halfway Down.
Armidale Regional Council Mayor, Sam Coupland, expressed his excitement for the event, saying: “It is great to see such big-name talent, headlining popular music festivals across the nation, right here in our backyard.
“Big Chill brings so much to our region each and every year, including a massive lift to tourism and a boost of more than $2 million to our local economy.”
Last year’s Big Chill event attracted more than 4000 festival goers over the weekend and had a significant effect on our local economy generating $2.3 million in economic benefit for the community.
This year the event returns to the Armidale Showground and the new format will see all the popular acts, entertainment, and family fun combined into a one-day event.
The all-age family event will include a wide variety of live music acts, entertainments, the return of the Live and Local stage, Little chillers, BBQ Alley, The Chilly Dip, official launch party the night before, and new addition to the event called ‘The Big Chilli’ eating competition.
First release tickets for the Big Chill 2025 will go on sale from Thursday 13 February and available for purchase via the Big Chill website.
