“Plant-based Diet” by local emerging artist, Kim Bizo. Tuesday 4 - 28 Feb 2025. “ For Kim’s first solo show she continues to embrace her use of joyous colour and of course her much loved culinary inspiration, this time coming from her little kitchen garden in North Hill, Armidale. Although Kim’s work often takes a more omnivore approach, this collection singularly celebrates all that is good in what Mother Nature provides us. Plant-based Diet’ is a suite of works that hero the beauty and nourishment of a delicious garden bounty or even perhaps a smaller veggie offering. Many of the larger works are dressed up as botanical still life’s but on closer inspection everything can find its way onto your dinner plate. Her unashamedly pretty palette and continued seduction with reflection and shadow continue to be key elements of painting inspiration.
