The Australia Day Awards acknowledge unsung heroes in our community who through their contributions make our region a better place. The awards will be presented at this special event in Central Park.
The following awards will be announced:
Armidale region's next Citizenship Ceremony will also be held at this event. 90 people will receive their citizenship and join us for lunch in the park. The whole community is invited to celebrate with them!
During the morning, a mural workshop will be underway in Central Park and children may work alongside artist Nick Levi to create a new public artwork.
And when the temperature warms up, everyone has the chance to head to the pool! Free entry at both Armidale and Guyra Pools on Sunday 26 January 2025.
The Australia Day Awards in Armidale are proudly presented by Armidale Regional Council and administered by the Mayor, Sam Coupland. In Guyra the Australia Day Awards are managed by the Guyra Australia Day Committee. This year's Australia Day Ambassador is Brad Farmer AM.
