How to read your digital water meter and spot leaks

Understanding your digital water meter is a simple way to stay on top of your water usage—and catch leaks before they become costly.

What the numbers mean

  • Kilolitres (KL): The numbers before the decimal point show how many kilolitres of water you've used. This is the number used for billing
  • Litres: The numbers after the decimal point represent litres down to 100 millilitres. These help you monitor usage more precisely.
