A varied program of activities for children and young people kicked off across the Armidale region on Monday 29 September, bringing plenty of fun and learning to the spring school holidays.
From storytime and craft to LEGO and music, and from movies and virtual reality to computer programming and science, Armidale Regional Libraries offered something for everyone during the break.
Council’s school holiday programs are designed to be inclusive, educational, and most importantly, fun. The team works hard to create fresh and exciting activities and enjoy seeing children discover new interests. This year's program also coincided with an opportunity for older teenagers to try stop motion animation, podcasting basics, short film production, and 3D animation at the Digital Makerspace.
During the school holiday break, HSC students had the chance to come along to study sessions at the libraries which offered space, resources and snacks.
Feedback from children, young people and families has been overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to the next round of activities.
