The Armidale School Rugby Carnival (TASRC) is Australia’s largest junior rugby carnival, drawing players, coaches and passionate supporters from across the country for a memorable weekend of grassroots rugby.

In 2026, we’re excited to expand the format to include Under 10s for the very first time, alongside our long-running Under 12 competition and the popular Girls 7s tournament for Under 14 and Under 16 players. The carnival continues to celebrate the spirit of junior rugby—participation, sportsmanship, and community—with teams matched for ability to ensure competitive and enjoyable games.

In 2025, we proudly welcomed teams from Western Australia, Queensland, the ACT, and all over New South Wales, highlighting the carnival’s growing national reach. Held on the beautiful grounds of The Armidale School, the event is set against the backdrop of the New England region’s famous autumn colours, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere for all involved.

The 2026 TASRC will be held over the weekend of 18–19 April, with an official opening on the afternoon of Friday 17 April. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young players to experience the excitement of a regional rugby tour while forming lifelong memories with teammates and supporters.
