Guyra Preschool and Long Day Care Centre is the only preschool and long day care provider in Guyra, conveniently located to support local families. We offer a warm, inclusive environment that values diversity and community connection.

We are committed to cultural awareness and inclusive practices, celebrating diversity among children, families, and staff.

Quality education and care

Our educational approach is built upon several core principles that guide our practice and ensure we are providing the best possible care and education for every child. These foundational values are:

  • respectful relationships and partnerships
  • child-centred learning
  • wellbeing and inclusion
  • sustainability and community engagement

Our qualified educators engage in continuous professional development and actively support children's learning and wellbeing. We follow the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time Our Place (MYTOP) framework for our OSHC children. We carefully plan experiences around each child's interests, needs, and abilities. We incorporate the Munch & Move program and Good for Kids initiatives, promoting healthy eating and physical activity as part of daily routines. Our curriculum integrates literacy and numeracy through name recognition, writing, stories, counting, number games, music, and active participation. Educators plan activities that reflect and extend children's interests, building foundational skills and a love of learning. We prioritise creating an environment where children feel secure, respected, and supported, ensuring their emotional and physical safety is at our centre of care.

A place to grow

We strive to create a safe, stimulating environment where every child can develop confidence, skills, and a sense of identity as they begin their learning journey, build relationships with others, and develop the tools they need to navigate the future.
