Australia Day Beach Party

Join us on Monday 26 January 2026 for a day of community, culture, and fun by the water at the Australia Day Beach Party.

What’s on:
✅ 10:30am – Citizenship Ceremony & Australia Day Awards
✅ 12:00pm onwards – Beach Party with:

• Kids’ games
• Rowing demonstration
• Earth Art by artist Sharon Cutmore
• Guided walk
• FREE BBQ & ice cream (limited supply)

Free bus service from town to the dam and back (for those who need transport)

• 9:30am - leaves Visitor Information Centre (VIC)
• 9.35am - pickup Monckton Pool
• 9.40am - pickup Girraween Shops bus stop, then on to Dumaresq Dam
• 12noon - return from Dumaresq Dam via stops at Girraween and Monckton Pool
• 12:30pm - leaves VIC 
• 12.35pm - pickup Monckton Pool
• 12.40pm - pickup Girraween Shops bus stop, then on to Dumaresq Dam
• 4:00pm - last trip back to Armidale VIC via stops
