The Armidale Regional Council (ARC) has released its 2024 Drinking Water Monitoring Report, confirming that both the Armidale and Guyra water supply systems have achieved full compliance with national water quality standards.
ARC has carried out routine water sampling and testing to monitor the quality of drinking water, with results submitted to the NSW Drinking Water Database. The tests were conducted in accordance with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (2011), which assess water quality based on physical, chemical, and microbiological characteristics, including the presence of E. coli.
Key Findings:
Armidale Water Supply: The Armidale system achieved 100% compliance across all categories, including physical, chemical, and microbiological testing.
Guyra Water Supply: Similarly, Guyra's water system also recorded 100% compliance in all categories.
The Council's testing confirms that residents of both Armidale and Guyra are receiving water that meets the standards of safety and quality.
The results indicate no issues with contamination, ensuring public confidence in the region's drinking water. Click below to view the executive summary of ARC drinking water monitoring report 2024.
