Digital Creators Club

The Digital Creators Club is:

  • a community of local digital creators who can support and encourage each other
  • a space for collaboration and innovation

The club meets weekly during the school term:

  • Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:30pm- commencing Tuesday 21 July 2026
  • at the Digital Creative Studio - with access to equipment, technology and mentoring

Each session follows a structured format:

  • 40-minute instructor-led workshop, focused on the development of practical skills
  • 80-minute collaborative session, where individual projects can progress

If you have an interest in audio production, film production, digital art, podcasting, animation, interactive media such as game development, engineering, or generally using technology to be creative, get involved with the Digital Creators Club!

21 July

Introduction to audio recording.

This session includes a tour of the recording space and the hardware and defining inputs and outputs. A hands-on session recording vocals, guitar and synth.

What to bring

Nothing is required, but attendees can bring their own instruments if desired. 

28 July

Audio Production

Putting a song together. How to use loops, audio effects and midi. We will combine loops, audio effects and midi to create a short audio snippet

4 August

Audio Production

Create a short musical piece. Create a simple melody with instruments and / or vocals. Record tracks, insert loops and samples. Master and export the audio track

11 August

Film Production

Film production basics. Take a tour of the cameras, greenscreen and computers running the video editing software. Learn the fundamentals of a video camera

No equipment is required for this workshop, though participants can bring in their own video cameras, phones and / or laptop with either Adobe Premier Pro or Davinci Resolve. 

18 August

Film Production

Film pre-production. Learn the steps of film production before the camera starts rolling. Learn to develop a script and storyboard. Lean about budgeting and scheduling. Break down a script to find out what you will need to shoot each scene.

Film Production

Film production. Learn how to shoot your film and capture audio. This will include lighting, framing and directing

1 September

Film Production

Film editing. Learn how to edit your footage, insert effects and audio and colour grading. We might even get time to have a look at the green screen for visual effects.

No equipment is required for this workshop, though participants can bring in their own video cameras, phones and / or laptop with either Adobe Premier Pro or Davinci Resolve. It would be ideal if participants had a prepared short script, storyboard and footage from the past 3 workshops with them.
