Celebrating National Water Week 2026

From 19–25 October 2026, Armidale Regional Council (ARC) invites the community to take part in ARC Water Week, a week dedicated to learning, exploring, and celebrating the essential role water plays in our everyday lives. With guided tours, and practical water‑saving giveaways, Water Week offers something for everyone.

Residents can visit the ARC Customer Service Centres in Guyra and Armidale (19-23 October) to :

·       Swap a broken garden hose nozzle for a new water‑saving nozzle, helping reduce outdoor water waste.

·       Pick up a free shower timer to encourage shorter showers and smarter water habits.

·       Sign up to the ARC Water Portal for real-time water use insights and a chance to win a prize.

These simple tools and resources empower residents to make small changes that collectively support long-term water sustainability across the region.

There will also be a display of information on how to save water and facts about our region’s water supply.

Water Week also features a series of guided tours offering a rare behind‑the‑scenes look at how ARC water and sewer systems operate. These tours give participants the opportunity to see the technology, processes, and dedicated teams responsible for delivering safe, reliable water services every day.
