Armidale Regional Council (ARC) is excited to support the upcoming Rumble Roadshow Skateboard Event, set to take place at Armidale Skate Park on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 10am to 2pm.

This free event will bring some of Australia's best skateboarders to town, providing an unforgettable experience for the community.

Following the success of Australia's Olympic skateboarding campaign, which resulted in two gold medals, interest in the sport is at an all-time high. The Rumble Roadshow aims to harness this enthusiasm by offering local youth the opportunity to engage with the sport in a fun and supportive environment.

What to Expect:

  • Live demonstrations from elite national skateboarders
  • Meet-and-greet sessions with pro skaters
  • Free skateboarding lessons with accredited Level Two coaches
  • Competitions, prizes, and merchandise giveaways
  • A community-focused event designed to inspire and develop local talent

The event will feature an all-ages competition, where participants can showcase their skills and win prizes based on their effort, improvement, and creativity.

"This event provides an incredible opportunity for our community to experience the thrill of skateboarding firsthand, learn from the best, and be inspired to develop new skills," said Mayor Sam Coupland.

"Investing in events like this helps our youth build confidence, stay active, and connect with their peers in a positive and healthy way. We are proud to support initiatives that foster youth engagement and well-being,"

The Rumble Roadshow is organised by Pacific Action Sports, known for hosting action sports events across the country. The event is also supported by local community organisation PCYC.

In the event of wet weather, the Rumble Roadshow will be relocated to Council’s Levels Carpark at 117 Rusden St.
