New England Garden Festival

This major community event in Armidale celebrates the joys and benefits of gardening.

At the Festival, Armidale racecourse transforms into a gardening hub with vendors, art, workshops and live entertainment. You will find a plant for every nook and cranny in your garden from the huge range on offer.

This year the focus is on children and families and community, with dirtgirl, scrapboy and Costa the Gnome in the Grubby bucket Show. your children can participate in the show and the Story Garden Challenge.

The food court has a delicious range of treats and lunch items for you relaxed picnic under the trees or in the canteen, connecting with family and friends. Enjoy the children's performance in the Grubby Bucket Show and listen to music by Terra Firma, Chilli Jam, AJ Williams, the Pasifika Choir and the foot-stomping Unicorn Drummer.

And wrapping around the NEGF is the New England Garden Trail. Over 4 days, 4 country towns will each open 3 gardens from 9.30am – 4pm in Armidale, Armidale, Glen Innes and Tenterfield. A total of over 15 private, cool climate gardens and all money raised in each town, stays in that town to support their local community.
