Join us at Armidale War Memorial Library on Thursday 30 July for a special day of discovery, creativity and conversation as part of the national Open Doors, Open Books, Open Minds initiative.

Explore behind the scenes Take a guided tour of areas not usually open to the public, including staff workspaces and the library stack. Tours at 10am & 3pm (bookings essential)

Get creative in the Studio Discover the library’s digital creative studio, try out equipment and learn about the technology available for public use. Drop-in sessions at 11am & 4pm

Borrow a Living Book Connect with inspiring people from our community through 15-minute one-on-one conversations. Hear unique stories and perspectives from: • Bar Finch – community advocate, artist and lifelong learner • Dr James O’Hanlon – zoologist, science communicator and creative • Fiona Lovelock – Aboriginal leader, practitioner and advocate • Stephen Dobson ACS – acclaimed cinematographer and founder of Dobson’s Distillery. This will run from 10am-12pm and bookings are essential.
