In an age where Bad Actors profit from division, Mayo asks whether we are truly divided as the enemies of progress would have us believe - and what it will take to build the imperfect, purposeful unity required for justice today. Drawing lessons for Indigenous Affairs and for the nation as a whole, he reflects on how Australians might resist division, renew democratic purpose, and work together for a fairer future.
