Viola finds herself shipwrecked on the idilic island of Ilyria. To protect herself, she dresses as a serving boy, but in doing so gets caught in a scandalous love triangle. Along the way, we encounter fools, puritans, drunks, and knights all vying for power or love, getting in each other's ways in the process.
