Upcycled gift bag workshop

We give gifts to show love and that we care. Upcycled gift bags amplify this.

You'll also save money on wrapping paper by repurposing your unused, unloved, outdated or outgrown items of clothing into fabulous fabric gift wrapping. You will be shown how to make gift bags, treasure sacks and bottle bags in this fun and playful workshop where your imagination and creativity can shine.

Bring along three or four items of clothing eg jeans/trousers, long sleeve button down shirts, teeshirts or things the kids have outgrown - items that you are happy to cut up and turn into something new .

At the end of the session you will have a few fabric gift wraps to take home that can be used again and again.

Thread Shed is a community organisation which aims to share skills and upcycle textiles to avoid waste. Class fees go towards maintaining sewing machines and tea and coffee supplies.
