The children at Guyra Preschool and Long Day Care Centre value the chance to connect with and learn from the 'big kids' from St Mary of the Angels Primary School, Guyra.

As part of a long-term program building collaborative partnerships with families and the community, the preschool has invited the school to be a regular visitor.

This collaborative partnership between Guyra Preschool and Long Day Care Centre and St Mary of the Angels Primary School enhances children’s inclusion, learning and wellbeing while building relationships with the wider community.

St Mary of the Angels' stage 3 class spent a morning at the preschool this week. Older children read to the younger children, joined in activities, and played games.

"It was brilliant to see the kindness and curiosity of the older children and the enthusiasm from the preschool children willing to engage," said Flick Williams, Preschool Coordinator and Nominated Supervisor.

"We will continue to strengthen our community connection with St Mary of the Angels Primary School over the course of the year."
